Laptops for Photo Editing Buying Guide

Noting that you have come across this article, we assume that you are already familiar with the programs being used for photo editing. What’s left to study is the hardware required in order to accomplish your well-desired edits.

Here are the things you should consider when buying a laptop for photo editing:

Processor

Photo editing is a highly intensive task. By this, we mean that the programs used to edit requires tons of computing power. Because of this, you need to be equipped with a laptop that has an efficient and powerful.

Most laptops used by photo editors and designers are equipped with Intel Core i5 or i7 processors. As we all know, manufacturers churn out new processors every year. This means that for every year, we get new versions of the i5 or i7 processor.

With this at hand, the best course of action would be to buy a laptop that has the newest processor. If you want something more powerful and faster, invest on a laptop with the latest i7 processor.

However, if you want the most bang for your buck, you can always opt for an older model. Do not expect them to be as smooth and as fast as the new processors of laptops.

If you plan on buying an older model, just remember to buy one that has an i5 or i7 processor. Regardless of their age, these processors can churn out just enough power to allow you to have a smooth photo editing experience. There are some hiccups here and there, but it is kept at a minimum.

These are just some of the compromises for buying a cheaper, more affordable laptop.

Storage Capacity and RAM

Photos captured from DSLRs or even smartphones have large file sizes. When you transfer them to your laptop, you may notice how much space they consume.

With this, you need to be equipped with a laptop that has just enough storage capacity as well as RAM.

It is understood that for every file you put into a computer, it will take up some amount of space. If you have a lot of photos to store and edit, you should have a laptop that has at least 512 GB of storage space.

If you have more money to spare, you can always go higher up to 1 T, but that would be unnecessary in most cases. You don’t need that much space to store your photos, not unless you do editing in bulks and have tons of clients to cater to. Moreover, the added space will require more money to churn out.

Another route would be to buy a laptop with a smaller storage space but invest in a cloud storage. This way, you won’t bother clearing up space on your hard drive and just upload your files on the cloud.

In terms of RAM, it would be best to have 8 GB of RAM. It should be large enough to handle photo editing tasks. With this, file transfer and rendering are fast and without any hassle. If you want more boost out of your laptop, you can always buy one with 16 GB of RAM. But all that additional RAM is just added expense on your end.

Screen

When it comes to a successful photo edit, one of the key factors is the screen. When looking for a laptop to use for photo editing, you need to consider the screen’s size and resolution.

A laptop’s screen size can affect how efficient you are when editing photos. It goes without saying that a larger screen will give you more screen real estate and thus make editing photos more convenient and comfortable.

Constantly zooming in on a small screen is a tedious task and can be cumbersome for most people. However, a large screen can also limit its portability. You cant expect the same amount of comfort when carrying a 10.5-inch laptop and a 19-inch screen laptop.

With that being said, the preferred size for most editors is 15 inches. This gives you just the right amount of work space and portability in a laptop.

The screen’s resolution is also a huge factor when selecting a laptop. Screen resolution affects how your screen accurately presents the colors of your photos. Moreover, a screen that has a higher resolution can show finer details.

A screen with a higher resolution lets you do a more accurate manipulation of photos. What you see on the screen should directly translate what is on print. Look for a laptop that has a full HD resolution.

Budget

Another factor to consider when buying a laptop is your budget. If you are doing the task professionally, then you should set aside a bigger budget and invest on the more powerful laptops which do come with a heftier price tag.

Moreover, buying a newer, more expensive laptop will guarantee you flexibility for years of upgrades. In turn, you get to indirectly save money since you won’t be required to buy another laptop.

However, if you are on a tight budget and are just doing the editing as a hobby, then you can always opt for a cheaper laptop. The safest options would be those on the lower mid-range price range. There is a laptop for every budget and for sure, you can find one for your hard earned cash.

Just make sure to do some research on the specifications and see if they are sufficient to cater to your editing needs.

Best Laptops for Streaming

In today’s streaming age, a laptop designed to best handle standard streaming requirements is a must. Otherwise, your streaming experience will be hell – literally! Imagine having to wait through the buffering message in front of you as your excitement gets pushed to a halt unnecessarily. If you are using a laptop that’s not quite fit to handle the demanding specification requirements to stream ultra-HD movies, audio, and/or video games, then you’ll definitely en route to streaming nightmare.

There are too many technical considerations to weigh in and verify when deciding on a particular laptop to use for your streaming activities. In most instances, this can be a daunting exercise and a tedious endeavor. It’s not really worth your time unless you’re getting paid to stream online and you need the best equipment to do so – or you’re the head of the purchasing department responsible for sourcing the best laptops that can handle all the streaming activities required for the jobs of your fellow employees.

Laptop shopping online is fun – if you are just looking at pictures and cherry-picking technical specifications that you know or are familiar with. If you have more time, you can read reviews that are 2-3 web pages long. You’re lucky if you get a more layman’s interpretation out of the 10,000-word novelette of a review. Ultimately, the verdict is what you’re really after. Or, in some rare cases, you’ll be forced to skip through the details and even find a review that’s as short as an anecdote that doesn’t really give you something important to weigh in on in your purchase.

But the fact remains – you need the very best laptop that can give you the best performance or the most perfect video streaming experience. As far as we know, that remains a utopian idea. Meaning, it doesn’t exist yet – or more appropriately, too tricky to decide which is which until you really understand what you need and how much you are willing to pay for it. Nevertheless, there are laptops out in the market today that can similarly deliver according to your expectation. That is what we’re here for. We’ve narrowed down the market to remove the stress equation out of your laptop shopping exercise to find the best laptop for streaming.

Nonetheless, to make your shopping experience better, we’re trying as much as possible to be more informative to a cautious level that won’t point the firehose to you. We’re trying to avoid unnecessary information overload.

It comes in a variety of beautiful colors that will be perfect for your ideal and/or favorite hue. Not only that it’s a great investment if you are looking at the price, but also this model is proven effective to maximize your workout at the same track your heart rate while you’re pushing sweat.

The product looks really great on a woman’s wrist and it’s super easy to wear. The moment it touches your wrists, the Fitbit Charge 2 automatically picks up your heart rate and track it all throughout your wear while it showcases critical information about your activity and the number of calories you are burning in a day.

The Fitbit Charge 2 is an overhaul and update to the popular and best-selling Fitbit Charge. It comes fully loaded with features that distinctively updates its predecessor’s and adds more juice to what the previous version lacked. The Fitbit Charge 2 has a comparably larger screen that displays basic activity tracking and details of what it’s tracking, heart rate tracker, and calories counter.

This information helps you maximize your workout regime through its heart zones feature that are extremely easy to use. On top of that, the Fitbit Charge 2 features three options that you can select depending on the type of workout you are trying to achieve, such as the Peak, Fat Burn, and Cardio. It’s like having the treadmill options at the comfort of your wrist. That said, you can get a wider understanding of what your fitness regime would be, and you can proactively adjust accordingly to see more improved results.

Now, if you are annoyed with all the elaborate details, you can easily just do away with them and just use the basic step/sleep tracking vanilla feature. But, why do that when you have all the power to take advantage of the more advanced features that come with the Fitbit Charge 2, right?

The advanced features we are talking about is the Fitbit Charge 2’s guided breathing, interchangeable bands, VO2 max, large OLED screen display, viewable heart zones text/call alerts view, calendar alerts, GPS tracking, and Cardio Fitness features. On top of that, the Fitbit Charge 2 comes with a vibration support that will come in handy during guided breathing exercise. Those are just overkill features in one fitness band. Even so, the Fitbit Charge 2 is generously able to offer all that in a fashionable manner.

The Fitbit Charge 2’s large viewing screen enables you to have a clearer view of the information on your wrist, perfect for any position – sitting, standing, running, walking, etc. Through all the features and the perfect display, you can easily evolve your workout according to your daily goal and/or ultimate target.

It is a straightforward activity tracker that is completely convenient and super easy to use. It is the Fitbit tracker that you need if you don’t want the fuss and hassle of the more advanced yet bulky, confusing and chunky clip-on trackers.

The Fitbit One Wireless’ simple and compact design, appropriately small build, easy wireless syncing ability with Android and iOS devices, and OLED display make it a standout in its category. While that may not be enough to make it the best buy, the Fitbit One Wireless comes flashing with all the right features that you need for an activity tracker. Aside from its outstanding build and complete features, the Fitbit One Wireless will not intimidate you with confusing tech fuss that somehow gets in the way of the true purpose of having an activity tracker.

It is a fuss-free and super easy to use activity tracker that will push you to really get up and move it. It can track all of your movements from the number of steps that you take, the number of flights that you climb, distance traveled, calories burned, as well as daily stats progress. On top of that, it effectively monitors the quality of your sleep, including the times you’ve to awaken from sleep during your entire sleep cycle, offers analysis of your sleeping patterns, and features a cool, silent alarm that will wake you up gently from sleep to ensure that you remain well rested.

The Fitbit One Wireless is definitely a great investment at an incredibly affordable price. You’ll get all the great features of an activity tracker in a discreet device that is just about the size of a flash drive. It can conveniently fit inside a clip, which you can easily fit into any pocket, slip, bra or belt. You can even attach it to your wristband when you’re using it at night to enable your sleep tracking.

On top of that, the Fitbit One Wireless syncs smoothly via Bluetooth to any of your iOS and Android devices, such as a smartphone and/or tablet. Having this amazing feature allows you to easily review your activity and understand trends via graphs and charts.

The insights you’re getting from your workout regime provides you a clearer picture of your day to day habits. In addition to that, you can take things to a different level by adding more information, such as calories intake, water intake, and other vigorous activities. You can even set goals and track your progress against the goals you set. What’s more amazing is that you can do this feature with your friends and get them into a competition to win badges with every milestone and achieved goal.

The battery life of the Fitbit One Wireless is remarkably impressive as well because it only requires charging after every 10 or 14 days. That said, it’s an ideal Fitbit for moderate trails and treks. This Fitbit is definitely great for women who belong into the adventure junky categories and hardcore fitness enthusiasts. It’s a no-fuss, no-frills, get-down-to-business clip-on Fitbit for women.

3. Fitbit Blaze Smart Fitness Watch

Dubbed as half smartwatch/half fitness tracker, the Fitbit Blaze Smart Fitness Watch is stunning, incredibly stylish, chick, smart and full of power. It definitely appeals to any woman. It is a fierce threat to the Apple iWatch and to many other wannabe smartwatches in town.

Its ability to let you switch things within the element on the screen is perfect for any type of activity and situation. It is incredibly flawless for gym bunnies who like to strut tech, beauty, and wellness.

The upgrades that Fitbit packed into this smartwatch/fitness tracker are just abundant. This Fitness Watch is a serious gadget for hardcore gym goers as well as weekend runners who take their regimes really seriously. On top of that, you’ll never go to be out of place with the watch even while you’re at the office, in the boardroom, at the beach, and so forth.

The design alone is sophisticated and classy. It’s not the typical plastic band watch that looks dorky and cheap. The strap is even removable and can be swapped with stylish straps to match your outfit of the day. In case you may want to match your watch with your lipstick color, that’s entirely possible.

Moreover, the Fitness Blaze offers plenty of room for customization for the ladies. Ladies can swap the look of the Fitness Blaze from a sporty workout look to a gorgeous evening look that will go with your dress’ design.

The thin build of the Fitness Blaze makes it all the more stunning. It’s incredibly comfortable on the wrist and amazingly lightweight as well. The brightness of the panel makes it look slicker. The super responsive touchscreen allows for an easy swipe through the watch’s options available on the screen. On top of that, the Fitness Blaze comes with a power-saver option, making it last for a few more days without the need to re-charge.

Ultimately, the Fitness Watch is a gem of all Fitbit tech – it’s simply beautiful and fully-loaded for a smartwatch/fitness tracker. You can use it for any activity and/or place and still look great. The wireless syncing lets you control up to hundreds of devices. The Fitbit Alta HR sits easily on your wrist and looks stunning that you can really stand out on a date night. The impressive build of the Fitbit Alta HR is due to its 15mm width. You also don’t see any buttons in this one. On top of that, it resistant to water and sweat.

The best things about the Fitbit Alta HR are the rave performance of its main features. The heart rate monitor is known to provide accurate and precise data based on tests by experts. That said, it works really great for cycling and running sessions as well as for long runs or jogs, extreme workouts, and hardcore gym regimes. The sleep pattern tracker, on the other hand, provides amazingly accurate insights, such as heart data and accelerometer during sleep period as well as movements between REM, deep or light sleep, and wake times. On top of it all, the Fitbit Alta HR’s battery life is one that Fitbit drastically improved, making this gadget capable of extending its battery life for another week from a single charge.

It is one of the most basic fitness trackers of Fitbit that offers only the essentials that you need, such as tracking your distance, steps, calories burned and so forth. Its main magic is its simplicity and its battery life, which can last up to 6 months if you’re just using it to track steps.

Best Gaming PCs Under $1000

You know you’re becoming a serious gamer once you are ready to invest around $1000 dollars for your pre-built gaming rig.

Finally, you won’t have to buy each component separately from different stores or merchants which can also be a daunting task in itself.

1. Alienware Aurora R5

The Aurora gaming desktop has been refreshed to give its customers more value and better quality without having to hike its prices. It comes in many configurations, but the base model perfectly fits in our $1000 dollar cap. The metallic colored casing seems bulky but the LED accents make it a bit of an attention getter. Inside, it is powered by an Intel Core i5-8400 which has a stock 2.7 GHz and can be overclocked at 3.3 GHz.

Its graphics card has also received an added boost and now comes with a Nvidia GTX 970 coupled with an 8 GB dual-channel DDR4 RAM. On the other hand, this PC’s storage has at least 1 TB of memory. Based on independent testers, the Aurora R5 was able to record 78 FPS while playing GTA V on ultra settings.

One of the few things that the Aurora R5 has that few systems in this price range have is a tray-loading DVD burner, which some people may still find useful. Another nifty feature is the liquid cooling system that keeps the whole system cool as a cucumber. Not to mention, it has more than enough ports for your connectivity needs.

However, the Aurora R5 also has some minor issues. The cooling system is partially obstructed which makes the CPU a bit noisy. The chassis lid is also a bit difficult to close. The 8 GB RAM is also a bit under our benchmark for gaming.

Overall, the Aurora R5 is an outstanding choice for gamers who want an upgrade from their entry level rigs. It delivers an exciting gaming experience that justifies its price.

Processor: 2.7 GHz Quad-core Intel Core i5-6400
Graphics Card:  Nvidia GeForce GTX 970 with 4 GB Memory
Storage: 1 TB Hard Drive
RAM: 8GB DDR4

Pros:

  • Convenient port layout
  • Powerful CPU and GPU combo
  • Top marks for upgradability
  • Sleek and head-turning design

Cons:

  • Expensive; at the borderline of the $1000 price cap
  • Finicky chassis lid

2. Asus ROG GR8 II- T044Z

When we think of a gaming PC, the first thing that comes to mind is this bulky box-type computer that just simply sits next to or below your monitor. The ROG GR8 II isn’t like your stereotypical PC rigs, because it’s thinner and looks much like any gaming console such as the PS4 or the XBox. The metallic casing is highlighted with colorful plastic accents that shows where the important ports are. On the inside, it has a slightly more powerful Intel Core i5-7400 which delivers a base frequency of 3.0 GHz.

The combination of the Nvidia GTX 1060 and a respectable 8 GB DDR4 RAM allows it to play many of the current top-rated games with relative ease. According to independent testers, the ROG GR8 II played Rise of the Tomb Raider in Full HD setting at a flawless 85 FPS.

The 1 TB storage space is more than ample; however, if you’re OS is Windows 10 it needs to have an additional SSD. Despite being thinner, this PC has tons of port at the rear such as a USB 3.1 Type C, Gigabit Ethernet, HDMI, DisplayPort, and an optical S/PDIF.

However, because of its uniquely thin construction, one issue it has is proper airflow. When turned on and even at idle, you can hear a bit of humming noise coming from the unit. To fully unlock this rigs potential you need a couple of quick upgrades including adding an M.2 SSD.

Overall, the ROG GR8 II is a small but powerful gaming system which can run the latest games at QHD resolutions smoothly; plus points, also, for its space-saver size.

Processor: 3.0 GHz Quad-core Intel Core i5-7400
Graphics Card: Nvidia GTX 1060 with 3 GB Memory
Storage: 1 TB HDD
RAM: 8 GB DDR4 RAM

Pros:

  • Eye-catching case
  • Great CPU performance
  • Has a 3-year warranty
  • Space saver design

Cons:

  • Lack of SSD drive
  • Ho-hum 3GB video card memory

3. CyberPower Xtreme VR

The Xtreme VR is one of those you may call a budget build PC where you get a lot of discount from buying the whole pre-built system rather than buying each component. While the case design is boxy, it does have honeycomb railings and LED lights to keep you a bit interested in its aesthetics. Inside, it runs on a quad-core Intel Core i5-6402P processor which is rated at 2.8 GHz and can be overclocked at 3.2 GHz.

Here is where it gets interesting. The graphics card is an AMD Radeon RX 480, which is decent, coupled with an 8 GB DDR4 RAM. You don’t often see AMD and Intel components in the same built-in PC, but CyberPower’s builds are one of the few exceptions. However, this particular combination works as revealed by independent testers who played Fallout 4 at 1080p ultra settings in this PC and got a respectable 60 FPS average.

The storage capacity is at 1 TB HDD with acceptable transfer speeds. Additionally, this PC has the required ports such as audio jacks, USB 3.1 ports, LAN port, HDMI, and DVI-D. This PC is also virtual reality (VR) ready.

Despite these great merits, the Xtreme VR also has a number of flaws. The lack of SSD means it doesn’t boot just as fast as those with it. There is also only one PCI slot which cuts away its SLI potential. Finally, some of its components such as the keyboard and mouse are of subpar quality as its competitors.

Overall, this gaming rig from CyberPower meets almost all of our standards and thus worthy of your consideration especially if you are on a tight budget.

Processor: 2.8 GHz Quad-core Intel Core i5-6402P
Graphics Card: AMD Radeon RX 480
Storage: 1 TB HDD 7200 RPM SATA
RAM: 8GB DDR4

Pros:

  • The fine budget graphics card in the Radeon RX 480
  • Larger LED case fans
  • Easily upgradable
  • Affordable price

Cons:

  • Low-quality keyboard and mouse
  • The fan is always resulting in added power consumption

4. Dell Inspiron 5680 Gaming Desktop

The first thing you will notice about the Inspiron 5680 is its futuristic and edgy design that goes along well with its silver fascia and blue LED. This handsome exterior is matched with an equally satisfying interior composed of the powerful 8th generation 2.8 GHz i5 8400 processor which can be overclocked at 4.0 GHz. The system is equipped with Intel’s Turbo Boost Technology which allows the unit to reach such speeds.

It also comes equipped with the Nvidia GTX 1060 with 3 GB memory which is a staple in a mid-range gaming rig. This is combined with an 8 GB DDR4 RAM, which although is smaller than most is enough to run the latest gaming titles at higher settings. According to independent test results, you can average 50 FPS in 1440p Epic settings in Fortnite which is quite impressive.

Additionally, the Inspiron 5680 comes with a 1 TB SATA storage and an extra 128 GB SSD, which allows it to boot faster. The fact that this machine also has 6-cores and has well-balanced components means you can easily multitask without having to worry about lag or freezing. It also has tons of the latest ports most notably- four USB-A 3.1, a couple of USB0A 2.0 three display ports, HDMI and an Ethernet jack.

If we have one gripe about this pre-built PC, though, it’s how messy it was arranged on the inside. There is a couple of components that are piled on top of each other, which prevents easily upgrading the computer part at the bottom. Moreover, the 8 GB RAM feels inadequate and needs to be upgraded, but it too is one of the hard to reach parts.

Overall, the Inspiron 5680 is a great gaming PC that offers both solid performance and lots of functionality. If you can do away with the clutter on the inside, then this gaming rig is an excellent choice.

Processor: 2.8 GHz 6-Core Intel Core i5 8400
Graphics Card: Nvidia GTX 1060 3GB
Storage: 1 TB 7200 RPM SATA + 128 GB SSD
RAM: 8 GB DDR4

Pros:

  • Very attractive design
  • Overwhelming gaming performance
  • Great value for money
  • Lots of ports

Cons:

  • The messy interior which makes it hard to upgrade
  • Subpar 8GB RAM

5. HP Pavilion 580 Power Series

Much like its laptop brethren, the Pavilion 580 power series also looks classy. The black casing looks sleek and professional. Inside, it’s powered by the 3.2 GHz Quadcore Ryzen 5 1400, which delivers excellent gaming performance. This system also comes with the latest AMD SenseMI technology which helps you customize your applications.

Aside from that, this pre-built PC also comes with the Nvidia GTX graphics card with 3 GB of dedicated memory and a 16 GB DDR4 SDRAM. These components allow the PC to run more reliably and efficiently at faster speeds. This allows uninterrupted gaming at mid to high resolution.

More importantly, this unit also has a 1 TB of SATA hard drive and an additional 128 GB solid-state-drive which allows it to boot quicker. This PC also has a number of ports including USB 3.0s in the front and back, headphone/ microphone, HDMI, display port and HP’s 7-in-1 card reader. HP also throws in its USB wired keyboard that has volume control and a wired optical mouse into the mix.

However, the Pavilion 580 also has a few bumps here and there. With only 3GB of video memory, you may experience some lagging on graphics intensive games at high-resolution or better settings. The CPU’s unique motherboard might make it hard for future upgrades, same can be said to its less-spacious casing.

Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 1400
Graphics Card: Nvidia GTX 1060
Storage: 16 GB DDR4
RAM: 1 TB HDD + 128 GB SSD

Pros:

  • Low temperature and power usage
  • Highly capable graphics card

Cons:

  • Casing lacks space for future upgrades
  • Graphics card has low memory

6. iBuyPower Gaming Elite

You’ve got to handle it to iBuyPower for coming up with a high spec desktop gaming PC which they market at the price of a mid-level rig. Their Gaming Elite unit is a great example that you don’t need much to have a mind-blowing gaming center. The computer’s design is well crafted and has the balance of being classy and modern at the same time. While it does have a boxy case, the see-through glass panel and RGB Light accents give it character. Inside lies the 6-core Intel Core i7-8700 which easily clocks in at 3.2 GHz.

Following the suit of its powertrain, this pre-build PC also comes with a powerful AMD Radeon RX graphics card with 4 GB memory and an 8 GB DDR4 RAM. Moreover, you also get 1 TB HDD storage so you can store more games and other files. According to independent testers, the Gaming Elite can run Overwatch on epic settings at 1080p and still get a comfortable 60 FPS.

When it comes to connectivity, this PC also has several useful ones such as four USB 3.0s, a couple of USB 2.0s, Ethernet, HDMI, and a display port. Moreover, it also has its own WiFi card and comes with a mouse and gaming keyboard.

However, there are a couple of issues that may hamper your gaming experience. First, the cooling fan feels underpowered and the airflow mediocre which eventually slows down the computer a bit due to occasional heat buildup. Second, the WiFi is really a USB stuck inside the PC which means it’s not as fast a PCI WiFi Adapter.

Overall, the iBuyPower Gaming Elite is still a competitive pre-build PC with solid performance coming from a powerful processor. Except for a couple of misses to consider, this one should be on your shortlist.

Processor: 3.2 GHz Hexacore Intel Core i7-8700
Graphics Card: AMD Radeon RX 580 with 3 GB memory
Storage: 1 TB HDD
RAM: 8 GB DDR4

Pros:

  • Powerful 6-core processor
  • Very capable graphics card
  • Well-crafted casing design
  • Comes with mouse and keyboard

Cons:

  • Underpowered 1 case fan
  • Slower WiFi connection

7. Lenovo Erazer X315

Lenovo may be marketing it as a beginner or entry level pre-built PC, but there is no doubt the Erazer X315 is something more. The design of the casing is both edgy and stout which resembles a knight’s armor. Among its highlight is the triangular power button that sits in the middle with the Lenovo inscription just beside it. Underneath its casing is a beasty AMD A10-7850K processor which easily clocks in as one of the most powerful in this list with 3.7 GHz.

Inside its hefty exterior is the AMD ATI Radeon R9 260 graphics card which is paired with a 12 GB DDR3 RAM. While the DDR3 may have been shadowed by the latest DDR4 RAM, the former is just a few steps behind the latter. Moreover, this PC also has high memory storage of 2 TB HDD and an additional 48 GB of SSD which is much smaller compared to others on the list with 128 GB of SSD or more. Using the Heaven 4.0 test at Medium Quality, the Erazer X315 performed 60 FPS which is quite exemplary for its price range.

Aside from the usual ports- four USB 3.0s, microphone, line in/ out, DisplayPort, HDMI this PC also comes with additional VGA, a wireless card and DVI-D which can all be useful to some people. Its also supported by an HD Audio from Realtek.

The Erazer X315, however, also has its own Achilles heel. The multimedia performance of this PC is subpar and the GPU choices are at the lower end which can drive away veteran gamers.

Overall, this pre-built gaming PC is excellent if you want an inexpensive desktop rig that can perform better than its entry-level kin.

Processor: 3.7 GHz AMD A10-7850K
Graphics Card: AMD Radeon R9 260 with 2GB memory
Storage: 2 TB HDD + 48 GB SSD
RAM: 12 GB DDR3

Pros:

  • AC Bluetooth and WiFi
  • Includes an SSD storage
  • Well performing CPU
  • Unique and stylish design

Cons:

  • Subpar GPU unit with only 2 GB memory
  • Still uses a DDR3 RAM

8. Skytech Gaming Shadow II

You can tell by its looks alone that the Gaming Shadow II is specifically designed for gamers. A sporty black or white casing provides structure for the components which are quite visible on the inside thanks to its red LED lights. It’s equipped with the latest Ryzen 5 1400 CPU which may not be as quick as Intel Core i5-8400 but provides stable processing speeds at 3.2 GHz.

The combination of Nvidia GTX 1060 and a 16 GB RAM together with a solid CPU unit, allows it to reach considerably high FPS counts in most gaming titles at medium to high settings. According to the manufacturer’s test, you can play Witcher 3 at ultra high settings with 60-80 FPS.

Furthermore, this PC comes with 1 TB HDD of storage space and is VR ready. Hence, you can also seamlessly perform other tasks such as video and graphics editing. The Shadow II also has several ports where you can attach USBs, HDMI, and audio. The manufacturer also has thrown in a mouse and keyboard to somewhat sweeten the deal.

However, this PC doesn’t have its own WiFi card and hence you have to rely on the included WiFi USB adapter or buy and install one yourself. The keyboard and mouse aren’t of the best quality either. Add to that, the CPU can be a bit noisy especially when used for a long period of time.

Overall, the Gaming Shadow II is a pretty nice pre-built gaming rig which has a fast processor that minimizes lag and freezing in-game. While it could have better accessories that doesn’t take away the fact that it can run pretty much any game without any trouble.

Processor: 3.2 GHz Quad-Core Ryzen 5 1400
Graphics Card: Nvidia GTX 1060
Storage: 1 TB HDD at 7200 RPM
RAM: 16 GB DDR4

Pros:

  • Smooth graphics thanks to GTX 1060 card
  • Has 16 GB RAM which is the minimum in gaming

Gaming PC Under $1000 Buying Guide

Now let’s have a quick review of the most important components there is in a PC and how it affects your gaming experience.

1. CPU or Processor

The faster the CPU, the more capable it is in running the game smoothly. For this list we recommend, an Intel Core i5 and higher or an AMD A8 series or higher. The minimum frequency should be 2.1 GHz or more.

2. GPU or Graphics Card

This component processes the graphics, images, and videos that are displayed on your computer. A Nvidia GTX 1060 is considered a stable GPU along with its AMD Radeon RX 480 counterpart. The higher the series, the better.

3. Storage

Refers to the limit of data that the PC can store. There are common types of HDD and SSD. HDD is common and many on the list are at least 1 TB. Meanwhile, not all the PCs have SSDs which speeds up the booting of the system and hastens other processes.

4. RAM

Random Access Memory affects many operations of your computer especially in handling large amounts of data brought by multitasking. It works in tandem with the GPU and CPU, in processing the data. The minimum should be 8 GB of RAM, but if you ever feel that this is not enough for some games, then you should upgrade it to 16 GB which is more suited for gaming. The latest models are DDR4, however, the DDR3 units are still relevant and are only a tad bit slower than the former.

Investing in pre-built gaming PC can often be more rewarding than building your own PC rig, especially if you have a tighter budget. Your success in finding a desktop PC that can satisfy your gaming needs depend on thoroughly researching the available options in the market. Hence, it pays to do your research first before buying one that has the lowest sticker price.

The system also comes with a 1 TB storage space but does not have an SSD.While it measures at a measly 88 x 299 x 281 mm, almost the same size as a PS4, this PC has plenty of ports. This includes an optical S/PDIF, HDMI, Gigabit Ethernet, DisplayPort, and a USB 3.1 Type-C among others.Despite being a great system, the ROG GR8-II has several weaknesses. The small frame means the airflow can be quite an issue. Relatively, its fan is always hard at work which causes the noticeable humming sound coming from it. Despite its size, this portable gaming rig has a powerful 3.7 GHz Hexa-core Intel Core i7-8700K. Furthermore, the inclusion of a 2 TB HDD storage and a 512 GB SSD makes it more appealing for gamers who want to play on higher settings. According to independent testers, you can even play Middle Earth: Shadow of war in 1080p Ultra at a silky smooth 120 FPS.Despite its smaller chassis, the One Elite still has plenty of ports such as four USB 3.1s, HDMI, Displayport, audio jacks, and a USB 3.1 Type C. For connectivity it has a Dual-Band Wireless WiFi, a Gigabit Ethernet, and a Bluetooth 4.1. 5. Dell XPS Tower Special Edition

Appearances can be deceiving, especially if you are dealing with the compact gaming PC- the Dell XPS Tower. Hiding beneath its unassuming metallic colored casing is an 8th generation 3.2 GHz hexacore i7-8700. It also comes with a built-in Intel UHD Graphics 630.Dell also provided it with a Nvidia GTX 1070 mated with 16 GB of RAM which now has a frequency of 2,666 MHz from the previous 2,133 MHz. According to independent testers, the XPS Tower can play Total War: Warhammer II at 1080p Ultra in a respectable 52 FPS.Another welcome feature of this pre-built PC is its 8x DVD-RW optical drive, which is often unavailable to other PCs in its segment. It also has tons of ports namely seven USB 3.1 Type-Cs, an SD card slot, 5.1 channel audio, HDMI, Display Port, two USB 2.0s and a GigaBit Ethernet. For connection, you have the Killer WiFi (2×2) and Bluetooth 4.1.However, the XPS Tower also has its own Achilles’’ heel. The processor is a non-K version, which means you can’t overclock it to speed it up a bit. Also, only the top build of this system has a solid-state drive, the rest only has hard drives.Overall, the XPS Tower is a like a silent worker which gets the things done without the need to stand out based on its looks. It’s a great bargain for those looking for a compact, mid-range gaming system.Processor: 3.2 GHz Hexacore Intel Corei7-8700

This behemoth of a gaming rig has a 4.00 GHz Quad-core Intel Core i7-6700K which you can Turbo Boost for an additional 0.2 GHz. Spec-wise it’s almost identical to some of the top performing PCs in this list, albeit this Lenovo PC costs a few hundred dollars less. Moreover, this PCs plastic case exudes a head-turning faux carbon-fiber skin that is highlighted by futuristic warm colored accents.Lenovo also doubled down by equipping this rig with a Nvidia GTX 1080 with 8 GB of memory and 16 GB DDR4 RAM. The storage is also quite generous at 2 TB HDD and a 256 GB SSD. The IdeaCentre Y900 is also VR ready and easily passes many benchmark tests. According to independent testers, this PC can play GTA V in 1080p ultra high settings at 63 FPS. Despite being a hard worker, this PC maintains its cool thanks to its capable fan that runs reasonably quiet.Furthermore, this pre-built PC also has tons of ports like four USB 3,0s, VGA, DVI, HDMI, audio jacks with S/PDIF and a 7-in-1 card reader. For connectivity, you have an AC WiFi and a Bluetooth 4.0. The whole rig weighs around 33 lbs and is more suitable to be placed under the desk. The whole gaming package also includes a mouse and keyboard.Despite being a great value purchase, this PC also has a few flaws. Many of the sellers offer limited upgrade options, hence you pretty much have to buy the components separately.Processor: 4.00 GHz Intel Core i7-6700K
Graphics Card: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 with 8GB memory
Storage: 2TB HDD + 256 GB SSD
RAM: 16 GB DDR4Pros:

  • Clutter-free chassis

  • Have PSU dust filters
  • SLI enabled

Cons:

7. MSI Trident 3 Arctic

The lightest built-in gaming PC in this list is a compact rig that weighs only 6.9 pounds. The Trident 3 Arctic looks like your console or even a larger version of your WiFi modem. But don’t let its size fool you, at the heart of this gaming system is an overwhelming 3.6 GHz Quad-core Intel Coire i7-7700. The case design is simple yet futuristic and is highlighted with trident shaped corners with just the right amount of RGB lighting.Taiwanese PC maker MSi also equipped it with a Nvidia GTX 1070 and a 16 GB RAM that has a frequency of 2400 MHz. It also has a spacious 1 TB storage with 256 GB SSD. Benchmark scores according to independent testers are still good but not as phenomenal as its larger counterparts. You can play GTA V in 1080p Ultra settings at 58 FPS.Because of its small frame, you can’t expect this PC to have this many ports, but it does have the most essential ones such as a USB-A 3.1, four USB-A 2.0s, an HDI, a Display Port, Ethernet, DVI, microphone jack and a VR-Link. For connectivity, you have the Intel Wireless-AC3165 and a SmartReady Bluetooth 4.2. Another great thing about this small PC is its ability to run cool and silently, even when its hard at work. However, this compact gaming rig also has a few issues that might be a concern for buyers. The external power brick has an underpowered 330W rating.Processor: 3.6 GHz Quad-core Intel Core i7-7700

Storage: 1 TB HDD + 256 GB M.2 SSD
RAM: 16 GB DDR4Pros:

  • Small size can save a lot of space
  • Runs cool and silent all the time
  • Solid gaming performance for an ultra PC
  • VR ready

Cons:

  • Doesn’t have a flash card reader
  • Custom chassis restricts upgradability

8. Origin Millennium

We save the best for the last and no less than a dream build for many PC gamers- the Origin Millennium. The custom chassis has a classic yet streamlined look with a new tempered glass and aluminum added on the well-sculpted plastic panels. One of the side panels is also now a smoked tempered glass which reveals the cleanly arranged components inside. The LED lit interior also houses a 3.7 GHz Hexa-core Intel Core i7-8700K which can be boosted up to 4.7 GHz.Origin also tossed in not one, but two, Nvidia GTX 1080 Ti with SLI on top of a built-in Intel UHD Graphics 630. Moreover, this system has a 16GB G.Skill TridentZ RGB RAM which has a frequency of 3,000 MHz. Its storage space is also very generous at 3 TB HDD and a 512 GB SSD. It also has an EVGA SuperNOVA G3 power supply with 850 Watt rating. Needless to say, this rig can easily jump over benchmarks and according to independent testers, you can play Shadow of War in 1080p Ultra settings at a blazingly fast 99 FPS.There is a lot going for the Millennium since it has been revamped. It has a cleaner chassis including a 5.26-inch bays and an interchangeable hard drive cage which is accessible through a swing-out door. It also has tons of ports including two USB-A 3.1s, a USB-C 3.1s, four USB-A 3.1s, two USB 2.0s, audio jacks, seven display ports, Ethernet, HDMI and an optical audio out. For connections, it has the latest 802.11 ac WiFi and a Bluetooth 4.2.However, the main issue for the Millennium boils down to its price. Piece for piece, it’s cheaper to build a Do-It-Yourself rig with the same component.Overall, the Origin Millennium is a PC that is on top of the food chain. If you have the money, this PC is an excellent choice for its performance and the fact that it’s future-proof.Processor: 3.7 GHz Hexa-core Intel Core i7-8700K

Best Cheap Smartwatches

Over the years, wearable devices, particularly smartwatches, have risen in popularity. Many consumers have deemed it necessary to have these gadgets because they have numerous functions, including fitness and health tracking. According to a study by CCS Insight, the wearable device industry may become a $25 billion industry by 2019.

However, not everyone wants to spend a couple of hundred dollars for a watch no matter how “smart” the device is. After all, smartphones while they are bulkier also has the applications and features that most of these wearables have.

If you are one of those who doesn’t want to spend much on wearable gadgets, you can start off with an affordable unit. In this article, we have listed some of the best cheap smartwatches that tell you more than just the time and without leaving a hole in your wallet.

Top 7 Cheap Smartwatches of 2019

We have narrowed down the list of the most affordable watches and made a short list of those that offer the best value. Making it to our roll call is the following:

1. Aeifond DZ09

MediaTek is a Chinese manufacturer of DZ09 smartwatch models which uses the same basic mold. Because of this, you get some of the cheapest Chinese smartwatch having the same outlook and almost similar specification. By far, the one with the best-reviewed unit is the Aeifond DZ09, which is a standalone smartwatch that excels on its notification function. It has a home button just below the display screen and a micro USB port on the side.

This phone can also be used as an independent mobile phone. By installing a GSM 2G or 2.5G SIM card you can remotely receive and make calls. You can also synchronize the messages you have on your Android phone after it’s been connected via Bluetooth. This feature, however, doesn’t work for iOS phones.

The 1.56-inch LCD multi-touch screen has a crispy 240 x 240 resolution. Furthermore, this watch also comes with a 0.3 MP camera, which isn’t exactly great but you may occasionally find some utility for it. For sensors, you have sleep monitor, sedentary reminder, altitude meter, and pedometer.

However, the Aeifond DZ09 also has several flaws. It isn’t water resistant which means you need to handle it carefully. Because it’s technically unbranded (or rebranded), you will not have the same technical support you usually get with branded watches.

Overall, the Aeifond DZ09 is a great budget watch to have as it has plenty of functions. If you just want a smartwatch to complement your smartphone, then this one can do the job.

Display: 1.56-inch TFT LCD (240 x 240 pixels)
Sensors: Pedometer, Sedentary Reminder, Sleep Monitor, Altitude Meter
Battery Life: 2 days (380 mAh)
Compatibility: Android
Weight: 60 grams

Pros:

  • Very affordable
  • Clear LCD Display
  • Can work as an independent mobile phone
  • Anti-Lost/ Phone Finder function

Cons:

  • Not water-resistant
  • Lack of technical support

2. Alcatel One Touch Go

Alcatel wants buyers to know that there are other options aside from Apple Watch and Android Wear smartwatches. The One Touch Go is the company’s attempt to cater a niche of an “on the go” watch for youngsters and professionals. At first glance, it resembles a Casio G-Shock but the similarity is only skin deep. The best bit about this watch is its extensive personalization which even allows you to choose the background of your watch.

The smartwatch is IP-67 rated (up to 1 meter for 30 minutes) and hence you can take it to your swimming sessions without the fear of it being damaged. Needless to say, this device is also shockproof and dustproof. The 1.22-inch touchscreen display has a decent 204 x 204 resolution. The watch also can track a lot of your activities thanks to its numerous sensors such as a heart rate monitor, accelerometer and altitude meter.

The One Touch Go also has some unique features that you may not see in other smartwatches. One of which is the “emotion” feature wherein it monitors your current mood based on your pulse. You can then share your emotion with the world based on the results you got ranging from Go Jump, Go Scream and even to Go Love.

However, the One Touch Go has limited functions. Since its using its proprietary OS, the apps you can install is very limited. It also doesn’t have a GPS and a SIM slot.

Overall, the Alcatel One Touch Go is a stylish watch with a youthful vibe. If you want a customizable smartwatch for notification purposes, then this one fits the bill.

Display: 1.22-inches capacitive touchscreen (204 x 204 pixels)
Sensors: Gyro, Heart rate, Compass, Accelerometer, Altitude meter
Battery Life: 5 days (225 mAh)
Compatibility: Android
Weight: 55 grams

Pros:

  • Quality Build
  • Numerous Sensors
  • Water, shock and dust proof
  • Above average battery life

Cons:

  • Limited app selection
  • Awkwardly placed charging port

3. Amazfit Bip

With dozens of pricey fitness tracker on the market like Apple Watch 3, it’s a breath of fresh air to know you still have a more affordable option like the Amazfit Bip. This simple, yet capable smartwatch can track most of your workouts thanks to its built-in GPS and alert you of notifications once synced with your phone. The design of the Bip is something out of a marriage between the Apple Watch and Pebble Time.

The most amazing thing about this watch is its power efficiency as attested by its 30-day battery life on a single charge of a 190 mAh battery. The Amazfit can do this thanks to a frugal and practical display design. Its 1.28-inches screen has a low-resolution of 176 x 176 pixels which gets dimmer once the wearer is indoors. To compensate for this, the watch has a blue backlight for night-time operation.

It also excels in multisport tracking thanks to its built-in GPS and GLONASS. Moreover, this gadget also has sleep tracking and heart rate monitor. Using the tracking feature can drain the battery faster but it can still last for 22 hours hence you can take it on long runs or to bicycle touring rides. One activity it can’t track, though, is swimming as this watch can only resist light splashes in the fairly shallow water.

With that said, the Amazfit isn’t perfect as it also has its shortcomings. The user interface takes a long time to get used to. The duration of pop-ups can’t be adjusted, with the default being too short, which leads to missing several notifications. The watch also offers limited customization options including few watch faces. There also isn’t a third-party app support.

Overall, the Amazfit Bip offers great value for money because of its splendid battery life and performance. If you are keen on having a competent fitness tracker, then look no further than this watch.

Display: 1.28-inches transflective 2.5 glass (176 x 176 pixels)
Sensors: heart rate, acceleration, geomagnetic, barometric pressure
Battery Life: 30 days (190mAh)
Compatibility: Proprietary OS (Android 4.4, iOS 8 and up compatible)
Weight: 32 grams

Pros:

  • Bang for your buck
  • Stylish Design
  • Phenomenal battery life
  • Numerous sensors

Cons:

  • Finicky User Interface
  • Unreliable auto-pause feature

4. Lenovo Watch 9

Many of today’s wearables are a bit boxy and have a digital display. The Lenovo Watch 9, however, veered away from the popular and decided to go for a classy timepiece design. You can call it a hybrid watch because it has a mechanical body integrated with electronic features. It also comes with a sapphire mirror glass which is just as hard as a diamond. The watch comes with silicon straps and has one physical button on its side.

The 1.5-inch analog display is quite clear and visible at different viewing angles. Aside from the clock markings, there is also a small LED around the 12-O’clock mark that blinks to notify you of a Bluetooth connection. Unlike many of the smartwatches listed here, the Lenovo Watch 9’s information such as step tracking and other metrics can only be viewed as a smartphone. Hence, you get the feedback from a smartphone app and not on your watch itself.

The main upside of its ergonomic design, aside from looking classy, is you don’t constantly have to charge it. On standby, it can last for more than 240 days. The watch notification is also non-intrusive as it alerts you via vibration instead of a display notification. For connectivity, it uses the latest Bluetooth 5.0.

However, the Lenovo Watch 9 still has left us wanting in many areas. Because it doesn’t display the notifications and metrics on the watch itself, you constantly need to bring out your phone. It could have also been better if it has other features like a GPS or a heart rate monitor.

Overall, classic analog watch collectors will definitely get their hands on this watch. It’s a watch you can wear on important occasions.

Display: 1.5-inch analog
Sensors: Sedentary Reminder, Pedometer, Sleep Monitor
Battery Life: 240 Days on Standby
Compatibility: Android and iOS
Weight: 51 grams

Pros:

  • Excellent battery life
  • Plenty of practical functions
  • Quality build with classic design
  • Solid performance

Cons:

  • Doesn’t display the metrics on the watch itself
  • No heart rate monitor

5. Pebble 2

The Pebble 2 was a low-key budget smartwatch that was released two years ago. Today, its price has dropped significantly enough for it to land on our list. While it looks cartoonish, this watch has one defining role and that is being a complete fitness tracker. It has almost every sensor to monitor your activities from runs and walks down to the most generic workouts. The best part is it has an auto-start/ pause function when you are working out.

The 1.26-inch display has a light grey E-paper background and black text with a resolution of 144 x 168 pixels. It isn’t touch type; hence you control the user’s interface using the buttons found on the side of the watch. Fitness enthusiasts and those who are starting to live a healthier lifestyle will love the milestone notification that the watch displays from time to time. The metrics which the watch sends out are quite motivating in its own way.

Perhaps the best part about this watch is its ability to remain waterproof at up to 30 meters this is all thanks to its Flat Corning Gorilla Glass technology. Furthermore, the Pebble 2 is very lightweight at only 31.7 grams. Its battery life is also above par and can last for more than 7 days. This thing also has music control and a microphone for voice actions.

However, the Pebble 2 also has its shortcomings. The heart rate monitor is not always consistent especially during workouts, especially if the watch is shaking a bit. Unless you stick the watch to your wrist where the pulse is, you can’t entirely rely on its accuracy. The display screen isn’t as compelling as the others on this list.

Overall, the Pebble 2 is a very practical watch to have especially if you need something that doesn’t go overboard with its features.

Display: 1.26-inch E-Paper (144 x 168)
Sensors: Pedometer, Accelerometer, Heart Rate Monitor, Compass, Sleep Tracking
Battery Life: 7 days
Compatibility: Android and iOS
Weight: 31.7 grams

Pros:

  • Passive fitness tracking
  • Waterproof up to 30 meters
  • Quality build
  • Long battery life

Cons:

  • Unreliable heart rate monitor
  • A limited number of apps can be installed

6. Samsung Gear Fit 2 Pro

Samsung updated their fitness wearable from its 2014 beginning to now have GPS functionality, improved charging method and compatibility with almost every smartphone. The best bit of this watch is it houses the Tizen OS, one of the fastest operating system available for smartwatches. Hence, navigating the user interface is silky smooth especially since you are interacting with a crispy 1.5-inch curved AMOLED display.

It would seem that the main purpose of the device is to help keep its wearer to be fit and active. The device has a passive tracking feature which tracks everything from your sleep, number of walks, and even the number of hours you have been idled. You can also take this watch to your swimming sessions as it can also record your performance. It can resist up to 5 ATM of water, which is roughly up 50 meters deep.

Runners will also love this watch because of its built-in GPS function which lets it track their runs and provide relevant data and other metrics. You can also share your workout results on social media, particularly on Facebook. Aside from that, you can also link the watch to your account on the Samsung S Health app which provides more data about your fitness levels and overall health.

On the other hand, the Gear Fit 2 also has a few misses. It does not have the same level of support for the iOS platform as compared to Android. The Samsung S Health app, although useful, is overloaded with confusing data.

Overall, the Gear Fit 2 is a reliable smartwatch that can track all of your fitness activity. If you want to start an active lifestyle or are already into it, this watch is a must-have.

Display: 1.5-inch Curved AMOLED
Sensors: Barometer, Built-in GPS, Accelerometer, Heart Rate Monitor, Gyro
Battery Life: 3-4 days (200 mAh)
Compatibility: Android 4.4, iOS 9
Weight: 33 grams

Pros:

  • Has GPS and automatic workout logging
  • Decent battery life
  • Clear colorful display
  • You can store up to 1,000 songs

Cons:

  • Too big for people with small wrist
  • Cramped, narrow screen

7. Sony Smartwatch 3

The Sony Smartwatch 3 has a bit of history behind it. In 2014, it was one of the first wearable devices to use the Android Wear platform. Four years since then, this smartwatch price may have dropped significantly but it’s still relevant even if new competitors have emerged. While it does not have a heart rate sensor and contactless payments using NFC, the device has a built-in GPS which is quite useful for monitoring fitness activities such as biking and running.

Aside from that, the watch has IP68 water and dust resistance rating, which makes it more durable than most budget smartwatches. In a segment that is flooded with cheap Chinese wearables, it’s great to know you can buy a watch from one of the largest multimedia company. One of the best selling points of this Sony watch is you get to have technical support.

Not to mention, the watch’s 1.6-inch transflective LCD is still an acceptable display and is also used by the Amazfit Bip. This touchscreen allows you to read the display even if the watch is under bright sunlight. It also automatically turns off when the wearer is not looking at it. Its battery life is also quite stellar at 96 hours in mix usage and more importantly, its one of the few budget-friendly watches to have WLAN connectivity.

However, there is no denying that the Smartwatch 3 is an older model that has not benefited from the recent innovations. Its compatibility is still limited to Android smartphones. It’s also heavier by a bit than most smartwatches in its segment. Finally, it lacks some of the newest technology like sleep monitoring which could have made it more appealing.

Overall, the Sony Smartwatch 3 definitely has a niche market even if it can be considered “old” in a fast developing wearable industry. If you are on a tight budget and not having the latest tech doesn’t bother you, then you should consider this low-cost watch.

Display: 1.6-inch transflective LCD(320 x 320 pixels)
Sensors: Accelerometer, Gyro, Compass
Battery Life: 96 hours (420 mAh)
Compatibility: Android Wear
Weight: 76 grams

Pros:

  • Bang for your buck
  • Built-in GPS
  • A readable screen even in sunlight
  • Slightly high-resolution screen

Cons:

  • Slightly heavier than most smartwatches
  •     Lacks the latest tech such as heart rate monitor

Low-Cost Smartwatches Buying Guide

Many of the cheaper smartwatches on the market function almost exactly like their more expensive counterparts. The biggest issue of these discounted units, however, is their poor reliability. To cut production cost, the manufacturers of these watches usually use low-cost materials or forego a couple of features.

Hence, you need to have some standards when choosing a budget smartwatches. Below are some of the things you should consider:

1. Display Size

The first thing you should consider is how big or small the display of your watch should be. Bigger displays usually consume more battery but are more noticeable by you and other people. In contrast, smaller displays are easier to wear and have a longer battery life. Other factors you should consider is the display’s resolution and backlight.

2. Sensors

To cut cost, manufacturers of affordable smartwatches usually don’t add all the sensors in the unit. Hence you need to decide which built-in sensors you should prioritize first. Do you need GPS for tracking, NFC for contactless payment, heart rate monitor for health purposes or all of them?

3. Features

Aside from telling time, smartwatches also has a number of functions from being a fitness tracker to playing songs via online music streaming services like Spotify. Many smartwatches also have app notifications that alert you of your calendar activities, text messages, emails, social media updates, weather forecasts and more. You should choose the features that best fit your lifestyle and daily activity.

4. Battery Life

Depending on your lifestyle you may need a smartwatch that can last from a few hours to several days before re-charging its battery. Choose one which lasts longer or at least can run during the period that you need it.

5. Device Compatibility

Most smartwatches are designed to complement your smartphone. Hence, compatibility is important. While many smartwatches are compatible with Android and iPhones, there are those which prefer one of those smartphone devices over the other. Therefore, check out its OS compatibility and if can sync with the current version of your smartphone.

6. Touch vs. Button Interface

It may be a no-brainer to choose a touchscreen smartwatch over a button interface one since people are now more accustomed to swiping. However, there are instances that you may like the button better. For example, the screen size may be too small for accurately browsing the smartwatch using a touch interface. Some smartwatches, however, combines both interfaces for better navigation.

As technology grows and production cost of smartwatches becoming cheaper by the year, you can expect that more people will eventually own a wearable device sooner. Buying any of the watches on the list can help you decide if this device fits your lifestyle and if you need to invest in more expensive units in the coming years.

1. ACER XFA240

The XFA240 is one of Acer’s best gaming monitor. In fact, it’s the best in its price range and its class, both within Acer and its competitors. The XFA240 combines all of the hallmarks of a high-end, ultra-gaming monitor. You’ll be surprised at how it delivers even you’re the most serious gamer around.

That price puts everything at a halt – imagine that price for a 24-inch gaming monitor that delivers 1920×1080 pixels high definition resolution with AMD FreeSync technology that does all the magic to prevent any lag during your entire gameplay duration. On top of that, the 144Hz refresh rate is commanding and threatening enough for other high-priced gaming monitors to step back. The Acer XFA240 aces all of that with finesse. Meaning, it’s built to deliver all of those and executes so very well smoothly. If you plug it using the DisplayPort, the response time is just so amazing at 1ms.

Putting all of those into one monitor provides a really outstanding and spectacular visual show! The experience it brings is just unfathomable and unmatched. You’ll literally feel like you’re in the game – immersed in action as you navigate a different world of reality where you are the hero!

The XFA240 is not only concerned about technical specs and fascinating the buyer with its unrelenting display of mesmerizing visuals, but it also espouses physical care for its users. The XFA240 is designed to be flicker-less in order to achieve a drastic reduction of strain to the eyes. On top of that, the blue light filter takes care of reducing the eye strain at night or in use in dark-lit environments.

Other features that the XFA240 parades are the built-in 2W speakers that produce crystal-clear audio completing the whole gaming experience, the conveniently adjustable features that allow you to make a lot of options, including swivel, tilt, pivot, and height. It’s flexible enough to be swiveled to 90 degrees to turn it in Portrait mode. On a connectivity standpoint, the Acer XFA240 offers one HDMI, one DVI port and one DisplayPort.

Ultimately, the Acer XFA240 is by far the best budget gaming monitor there is. It is complete on a features-standpoint. In fact, it delivers more than what is expected for its price and it does so in a very amazing way. What’s more amazing is how Acer was able to deliver a technologically complete product that incorporates healthy ideas that no other manufacturers have dared ventured before.

2. LG25UM56P

The LG25UM56P is beauty in a cheaper package. It’s an ultra-wide screen achievement at a price you’ll forget. If you’re a gamer, definitely you’ll be spending a ton of money on a gaming rig plus the licenses to the PC game. What’s left of you is just a few hundred bucks change. And if you have not bought a gaming monitor yet, you don’t have to worry.

The LG25UM56P is available for a low price! However, the monitor doesn’t deliver cheaply. It’s an outstanding ultra-wide screen, a 25-inch monitor that whips 2560 x 1080 resolution.

Because of its ultra-wide screen achievement, the LG25UM56P can achieve an unbelievable 21:9 aspect ratio. This will literally stretch your regular content that is in 16:9 aspect ratio into incredible lengths. This will come with a few ticks though – the more you stretch your content the higher the likelihood that you are going to lose some of the view at the bottom and the top. This can be a problem with some games. Nevertheless, it’s not all games and you’ll definitely know how to manage when that game will be part of what’s impacted. It’s not at all bad if the game’s aspect ratio is 16:9 because you’ll still be able to see letterboxes in either the left or the right. That means you are still able to maximize your monitor’s screen size.

The best use of the LG25UM56P is when it is combined with more monitors, say two or three or more, and set them up into a split screen to make a gigantic display. The LG25UM56P can even support up to four-screen split. Now, having that set up looks like you’re in the Matrix or you’re into some kind of global-scale hacking project to save the world.

The LG25UM56P offers LED screen and features the Dynamic Action Sync that accurately depicts any fast movement with zero lag. That comes in handy when playing super-fast racing games, such as Assetto Corsa, Rocket League, Trackmania Turbo, and Trials Fusion. On top of that, a Black Stabilizer feature, which is LG’s new technology designed to ensure your games are always looking good as well as blacks inky, is also included in the LG25UM56P.

3. SAMSUNG C27F591

Samsung has recently conquered the monitor world by surprise. They have released outstanding products over the last few years that unhinged the domination of the top key players in the monitor industry, including Sony. Samsung’s revolutionary curved monitors have been one that revolutionized how we experience TV and/or monitor. It doesn’t only tap on the imaginative, but it also provides a more tangible experience that will definitely keep you on your seat as you venture into a new world of reality.

The C27F591 is Samsung’s take on the gaming world. This is the best curved gaming monitor there is. Plus, considering it’s cutting-edge technology and achievement in the physical monitor design landscape, it is actually extremely cheap.

The C27F591 takes on you on a more immersive visual experience that will translate gaming into a much closer reality that you can feel, see and touch. It is built-in with the AMD FreeSync technology that drastically reduces latency as well as stuttering every time you’re playing. On top of that, the 27-inch monitor offers a full-HD resolution with an unmatched resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. And if that’s not enough, the 3,000:1 contrast ratio will mesmerize you with accuracy of the white and black colors. And the C27F591 doesn’t stop with that, the Eye Saver Mode effectively reduces blue light when the monitor is used in dark-lit environments and/or during night time. There’s also a flicker-less feature that enables your eyes glued to the monitor the whole day with less worry of strain and health effects.

Samsung didn’t hold its power just there. It packed the monitor with a five-watt stereo speaker that is powerful enough to deliver an amazing sound quality required for a more immersive gaming experience. Overall, the C27F591 offers amazing hardware and expensive thrills at an incredibly affordable price.

4. ACER GN246HL

When you’re into 3D gaming, you’ll have unbelievable requirements for a gaming monitor. Not all monitors are designed for 3D gaming. There’s just a few in the market today that offer this type of feature. They’re expensive monitors, to say the least. And if you’re getting the cheaper ones, it’s highly likely that it’s going to fly out of your window after a couple of tries. 3D gaming monitors are hard to find and/or decide, and hard to achieve.

The requirement for entering the virtual world is a little bit challenging that’s why 3D gaming has not really taken a strong take off even today because of the limitations in technology. The VR in mobile gaming is gaining steam and its influence in the PC game world is still trying to set foot. Nevertheless, Acer is brave enough to venture into the 3D gaming monitor space and doesn’t hold back in planting the seeds for what could be the future of gaming monitors. The GN246HL is Acer’s flag into the 3D gaming monitor space.

It offers a promise for you to literally fall into the hole of virtual experience. The 24-inch monitor features the usual 1920 x 1080 resolution. It also showcases a 1ms in response time, which is really convenient with ultra-fast-changing game action. You’ll have to take note too that that feature is crucial for achieving the 3D content. In addition, the GN246HL offers a 144Hz refresh rate plus 100 million:1 contrast ratio – a rare feat in that category. The white and black representation is more than just outstanding for a monitor.

The core of the GN246HL’s 3D feature is Acer’s NVidia 3D Lightboost, which uses the advanced active shutter technology of Acer. This is something new in the landscape and can be considered a groundwork for future monitors that will offer 3D viewing. Acer promises that with this, the GN246HL will be twice as bright as what other manufacturer’s 3D options.

Ultimately, while Acer’s venture into the 3D gaming monitor space is brave and uncompromising, the rest of the competitors are just too ambitious but also overly expensive. The Acer comes with a much smaller price tag than cometitive models.

5. ASUS VG245H

When all the specs don’t really concern you that much because most monitors offer similar specs anyway, then you’ll be better off getting the Asus VG245H. It’s the Miss Universe of gaming monitors. It is simply beautiful.

Asus didn’t just focus on the specs with the VG245H, but it ensured that it produced an extremely stunning beautiful that will leave all buyers crazy. In a see full of ugly-looking gaming monitors that will only amaze you with specs and brainpower, Asus took the opportunity to offer a beauty and brains gaming monitor that will definitely keep you sleepless if ever you decide to pass on it.

The VG245H is definitely a beauty on your desk – it’s going to be the best-looking piece of equipment you’ll have on your desk. The monitor showcases a 1920 x 1080-pixel screen resolution that offers full-HD visuals that you desire. It also boasts of a 1ms response time that delivers ultra-fast motion plus a powerful Asus GameFast Input Technology feature that ensure all graphics are smooth all throughout the game and/or use. Now, if you also plan on hooking up two monitors and set up a split-screen for one machine, the VG245H is completely up to that. With two HDMI ports on the back, that whole set up is completely doable with ease. You can connect two or even just one computer plus a console.

The VG245H design comes with an adjustable stand that enables you to do a pivot, swivel and tilt screen. Whatever best fits your comfort. It also comes equipped with thin bezels. Acer anticipated that a lot of users would want to have a healthy visual experience and less eye strain over use. That said, the Acer VG245H bundles the GamePlus and GameVisual that features a really amazing color control and recreation to drastically reduce eye fatigue during use. On top of that, Asus added the EyeCare to make the VG245H to be flicker-free. Acer also included the blue-light filters into the monitor to make it more suitable and easy for night time use and in a dark-lit environment.

Now, with all of that features and beauty, you might be thinking that all of those are going to cost you a ton of money. But, Acer didn’t really intend to make huge profits by raising the price and this bundle is actually very cost effective.

1. MacBook Pro Retina

By far, MacBook Pros remain to be the best laptops for music production. The MacBook Pro has consistently been the primary choice for newbie and/or seasoned independent music producers in the world. The most recent laptop released by Apple, the MacBook Pro Retina, provides greater HW specifications than its predecessors plus a stunning display and video graphics capabilities.

The MacBook Pro Retina is a powerful enough laptop for music production that delivers all the needed requirements you’ll need for a successful music production – CPU power, memory (RAM), Core Audio, SSD storage, battery life, and display. All the best components play perfectly to handle even the most demanding music production work there is. And the statement, “it’s from Apple so it must be good…it should work…” is an appropriate statement, plain and simple, for this laptop.

While we can’t argue that personal preference and brand loyalty almost always come into play when making a decision to buy a MacBook Pro laptop for music production purposes, this new iteration of the MacBook Pro simply impresses you with both hardware and software feats.

Let’s break down the pros and cons:

Pros:

  • It’s simply ready instantly out-of-the-box
  • Superb quality and solid performance
  • Little to no software and/or driver issues with any Mac hardware
  • Comes pre-installed with GarageBand
  • Unrivaled and best-in-class operating system

Cons:

  • Starting storage offering is a little bit small at 128 GB SSD
  • Upgrading to bigger storage will cost a significant amount of money
  • Whole unit is expensive compared to Windows-based laptops
  • Limited number of ports
  • Maximum RAM is 16 GB
  • Limited upgrade capability
  • Intel i7 CPU offering looks slower than other Windows-based laptops

Ultimately, it’s easier to get dismayed with the limitations and hardware offerings of the MacBook Pro if you compare it to the overkill features and bundles from other Windows-based laptops. But the MacBook Pro works like magic! Thanks to its superb operating system that works perfectly well with the hardware components built into the laptop. Looking at it on a different perspective, the MacBook Pro doesn’t need the biggest/greatest/fastest/newest hardware components in the world to work perfectly, it just needs the right hardware and the right software to work like how a Mac should work.

2. Razer Blade Stealth

A newcomer in the laptop industry, the Razer company has built a strong reputation and credibility among the gaming spaces. Razer’s entry into the music production realm is considered a big win for the company, despite the Razer name closely being associated with PC gaming.

The Razer Blade Stealth is a breakthrough in the music production hardware as it challenges competitors with its high-quality and superb performance laptop. It’s a simple way of saying that the Razer Blade Stealth is one of the best laptops for music production and it occupies the upper spots.

Beneath its hardcore yet elegant product design is a massively powerful 8th gen Quad Core i7-8550U processor that can handle your Digital Audio Workstation and any of its plugins with finesse every single day. While the non-upgradable memory of 16 GB may be sound a little bit on the low side, it basically delivers the needs. The Razer Blade Stealth uses a NVidia GeForce GTX 106, which deliver remarkable video plus it complements any other RAM needs for music production, especially in the plugin processing area. Starting storage offering is not bad, at 256 SSD, and this can be upgradable to 512 GB or 1 TB, which will cost you quite a bit of dollars.

Nevertheless, if you need more storage space but you’re not willing to spend more, you can always opt for an external hard drive that you can connect through the laptops USB-C port, which proves to be really fast.

Perhaps the greatest ammunition from this laptop is its touchscreen display, which by leaps and bounds, surpasses any ordinary laptop packed with overkill hardware components specifications. The touchscreen feature enables you to perform all the action, real-time, on the screen, making it easy to do drawing automation and audio plugin tweaks.

Though practically designed for gaming, it’s pretty obvious that music production is a hidden target market behind the eye-candy graphics and design features it offers. Below is a crackdown of the pros and cons of this laptop for music production:

Pros:

  • Extremely high quality and amazing performance
  • USB-C port, considered to be the most powerful connection today

Cons:

  • Limited room for upgrades
  • Quite a bit expensive

There’s not much flaws with this powerful unit. Though built for gaming, the music production capabilities are too overwhelming. That’s why it is considered to be one of the best laptops for music production today.

Laptops for Music Production Buying Guide

It’s a daunting task but nonetheless important and required. As a music producer or anyone who wants to try his or her hands with music production using a laptop, it pays to know the fundamentals.

First, the operating system. This is a decision based on preference, knowledge, skills, and technical requirements. You will have to gather your intentions in order for you to decide which laptop to buy, based on the operating system you prefer and/or you’re most widely familiar of and/or most comfortable to use. On top of that, you will need to know if the piece of software that you are eyeing to use for your music production will be available and/or compatible with the operating system of your choice.

Let’s break that simply into MacOS or Windows. If you are more comfortable, knowledgeable and an expert in using MacOS then the decision is to buy a Mac. But, if you prefer the Windows operating system, then there might be some more decisions to make, considering there are a lot of Windows-based laptop out in the market today that offers really great options, features, hardware, and so forth, designed for a superb music production experience.

Second, the tool/s you are using for music production. Or, simply, the Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) you are going to use for producing music. There’s Cubase, Logic Express, Studio One, GarageBand, etc. Your preferred DAW plays a crucial role in the decision-making process.

And there are other things that you can consider, such as the price, the weight of the laptop, especially when you frequent traveling, expandability of the memory and storage, battery life, video display, speakers, and those type of things.

Ultimately, choosing the best laptop for music production can be broken down into three things:

  • CPU for the processing power
  • Memory, which is required for production; 8GB should be the minimum
  • Digital Audio Workstation/s (is it available and/or compatible with the OS)

Find one that is designed and dedicated to a GoPro camera.

Capturing the Most Beautiful Time-Lapse

4. GoPole Scenelapse

One of the most beautiful videos you’ll ever see is a time-lapse – it lets you see the magnificence of time and the world around us. In the age-old days, shooting a time-lapse requires a lot of investment – money, equipment, patience, people, and hours of effort. Today, it is much easier to capture a time-lapse using programs built-in in your smartphone and/or programmable settings in your DSLR or video cameras. You can now get to capture National Geographic-worthy time-lapse videos about a subject of your choice. But getting to that level requires you to have a really sophisticated setup and/or program. Thanks to the GoPole Scenelapse, capturing a National Geographic-worthy time-lapse, in 360 degrees, is unbelievably easy!

No need to stress yourself about spending a lot of money on time-lapse accessories for DSLRs and/or video cameras, or overkilling the configuration of your smartphone, to capture an astounding time-lapse video. Your magic kit will only involve your GoPro camera and the very affordable GoPole Scenelapse.

The GoPole Scenelapse is very handy, weighing only about 85g or 3oz. And it doesn’t require any batteries because it operates mechanically. That takes out any additional bulk and/or power worries during travel. It also features a tripod screw found on the bottom that allows you to attach any full-size or mini tripods on it. There’s a removable mount at the top that comes with a high-torque thumb screw that lets you easily attach your GoPro camera.

Now, you can be a lot more creative, unleash your inner Kubrick, and capture really fantastic and mind-blowing time-lapse stills or videos using your GoPro camera and GoPole Scenelapse kit. It is easy, simple, and a no-brainer to use. It doesn’t matter if those three have all the same meaning. Bottomline: it is a brilliant accessory to capture a 360-degree time-lapse video without effort. And, the results are amazingly dynamic and incredible!

Power to the GoPro

5. Anker Powercore 20100

Power is a scarce resource and truly a valuable gem during travel and/or doing specific activities, such as skiing, surfing, trekking, skateboarding, and so forth. It is a critical mana to power your GoPro camera. Without it, your GoPro is a dead brick light enough to be a paperweight. Even if you pack a dozen extra batteries to power your GoPro camera, but the fact that they still run out, you are still likely to end up at a tail’s end scrambling to find a power outlet in the middle of nowhere.

Thank God, the Anker Powercore 20100 can save you that nightmare. It is an affordable power bank that is powerful enough to provide you enough battery you need for your GoPro camera use. Now, you can enjoy your adventure without getting interrupted by anxious thoughts of running out of battery power. It offers high battery power capacity, which can even charge your laptops. It might not be the most compact power bank you see but it definitely is more effective and more reliable.

The Anker Powercore 20100 boasts a smart-charging feature through its PowerIQ plus a current-stabilizing feature via VoltageBoost. It can safely charge up your GoPro and/or batteries up to 2.4A. Moreover, the Anker Powercore 20100 has a built-in surge protection as well as short-circuit prevention feature. Now, you can enjoy shooting that elusive and beautiful time-lapse without having to worry about changing batteries in the middle of the shoot!

The Best Choice for a Professional GoPro Microphone Adapter

6. GoPro Pro 3.5mm Microphone Adapter

What better way to complete a video shoot but to use a great microphone. Paying much attention to the audio output of your independent film project, video log, documentary film, news report footage, will definitely make you stand out from the rest. This is not saying that the GoPro camera’s built-in microphone can’t do the job – it absolutely can! However, using a professional microphone in your video takes things up another level. From the standpoint of a more superb final video output, with crisp and audible audio, to the convenience of having an instant audio setup, the GoPro 3.5mm microphone adapter is what you need to achieve both of that.

Having a professional audio setup requires you a separate set of equipment, which will also cost you a ton of money. The GoPro Pro 3.5mm microphone adapter lets you attach a professional microphone adapter for much less so you can achieve that superb sound quality you’ve always wanted.

The GoPro Pro 3.5mm microphone adapter works like magic as it massively improves sound quality. Not only that, you’ll get to connect professional microphones to your GoPro camera through a 3.5mm jack. This lets you achieve a drastic improvement to the overall sound quality compared to the built-in microphone of your GoPro HERO camera.

Whether you want to connect a shotgun, condenser, lapel, the GoPro Pro 3.5mm microphone adapter can accommodate any of them. This adapter can be plugged in into your GoPro camera via the USB-C, which also serves as its power source. This allows you to record awesome stereo sound through your GoPro camera. One thing to keep in mind though is that the GoPro Pro 3.5mm microphone adapter will keep the side of your GoPro camera open the whole time you are using it. This makes your camera unadvisable to be used near or under water as it will no longer be waterproof. Nevertheless, this accessory will be a game-changer with vlogging, filmmaking and/or for achieving a better sound quality. And, if you’re still not amazed by that, think about this one amazing feature – 106dB stereo analog to digital converter. That right there should convince you to give away your money!

The Only Chest Harness You’ll Ever Need

7. GoPro Chest Mount Harness

Your GoPro experience won’t be complete if you don’t fully immerse yourself into the adventure. The problem with having to carry a camera around when you’re doing stuff is that your attention gets divided into having fun and into getting the perfect shot. Plus, there’s always that anxiety about ensuring your camera’s safety. Certainly, you don’t want to just get your hundreds, or even thousands, of dollars investment into one-time use, right? Breaking your camera because you’ve been having too much pretty much spoils everything when all is said and done.

The GoPro Chest Mount Harness will let you immerse into the action and completely enjoy the experience without having to worry about the other stuff you need to worry. Just go right down to it and have fun!

It is the only chest harness you’ll ever going to need. Trust me, this is designed for the GoPro camera and for the GoPro user. The GoPro Chest Mount Harness is fully adjustable no matter what your body size may be. You can also set the placement to better capture the perfect angled shots that are unique to your own style, preference, and art.

This is a great piece of accessory that will let you enjoy any type of activity while you capture every perfect and priceless moment – mountain biking, skiing, white water rafting, surfing, rock climbing, diving, etc. There’s a great chance you can beat any Hollywood action scene or that astonishing rock-climbing death-defying stunt by Tom Cruise in MI3. That said, the GoPro Chest Mount Harness is the only chest harness you’ll ever going to need.

Anyhow, the Anker PowerLine Micro USB provides enough length from your controller to your PS4 to let you continue your fun while using the controller at the same time charging it. Getting your friends into the action is much more fun and exciting. Well, except if you bought the PS4 purposely for yourself alone because you are a video-game hog, or simply ‘alone’. The DualShock 4 Wireless Controller is perfect for a tag-along friend you like to take to a marvelous PS4 adventure. It’s the perfect choice for a second controller. Twitch pretty much changed the gaming landscape. And the PlayStation Camera became a true value of the modern gaming world.

Offering 1280×800 pixels at 60 fps in RAW and YUV video format, dual lens at F2.0 f value fixed focus, 85-degree field of view, and 4-channel array-type microphone, the PlayStation Camera is another manifestation of Sony’s genius in the gaming arena. It is a marvel that makes broadcast during the game a lot easier and more convenient.

The crisp and fantastic quality makes you stand out over the rest whether you are vlogging, streaming to YouTube, curating or even creating content for yourself, friends, family, as well as potential fans.

5. PlayStation Gold Wireless Stereo Headset

Who wouldn’t want a gold headset?! Well, the PlayStation Gold Wireless Stereo Headset is not literally gold, but it is built, and consequently, it performs in gold standards. With its 7.1 virtual surround sound, sleek design, and ultra-durable built, the PlayStation Gold Wireless Stereo Headset runs the competition by a mile.

The PS4’s out-of-box microphone is way too small and does not really help at all in elevating your gaming experience. You’ll end up wrestling with it due to its tangible limitations: mobile phone-quality mic, one earbud, and small wire. You’re going to need some serious tool, especially when you’re in a competitive gaming environment and/or HD streaming.

The PlayStation Gold Wireless Stereo Headset is the answer. It offers one of the most comfortable ear cups in a headset, extremely great sound quality, high-quality microphone, epic sound solutions for PS4, and if you want to get it wired, an optional 3.5mm adapter. All that spell is comfort, durability, sound quality, and not to mention, battery performance.

For a relatively low cost, you can get the gold standard in the gaming console headset market. This ‘black-is-the-new-gold’ PS4 accessory can let you immerse into the world of crystal-clear audio and boom bass. Throw in Fortnite and be amazed to hear clear as real footsteps as you walk through woods. Stream a movie via Netflix and you’ll be submerged into the deep dark world of Black Mirror as if you’re part of the movie. The sound is just crisp and crisp and crisp. There’s no other adjective can describe the sound quality you’ll get over the PlayStation Gold Wireless Stereo Headset.

6. Seagate 2 TB Hard Drive

There’s always not enough hard drive space. That is a fact. And that is the truth. PlayStation 4’s initial storage offering of 500GB is not enough. 8. PlayStation VR

Today’s generation is the VR generation. Arcades were so 80s to 90s. Gaming consoles boomed in the 90s with SEGA, NES, and the early PlayStations. But what was once just seen in the movies (remember Demolition Man?), VR is now a tangible reality.

VR revolution in the gaming world, and the entertainment landscape in general created a huge ocean of opportunities for gaming devices developers and manufacturers. Sony has jumped on at the earliest possible timing and released the PlayStation VR to accommodate the growing demand for VR with PlayStation games, and the gaming population in general. The PlayStation VR will let you in on a really immersive virtual reality experience. It is exclusively designed for the PS4 and will make all players become part of the game rather than just controllers and/or puppet masters at a distance.

Enjoy Resident Evil and Batman: Arkham in VR and dive into a more exciting, wildly new perspective of the games. It’s going to be a wholly different experience.
